What does Panthoris AI mean?
Author Answer:
I chose the name long before I could fully explain it.
It's built from two ancient Greek words. Pan (πᾶν) means all <••> the whole, nothing left out. Theōros (θεωρός) was the observer a Greek city sent to witness. When the city faced something it couldn't understand, it didn't guess. It sent someone to see the full picture with their own eyes and bring the truth home. Their journey was called theōria <••> the root of our words theory and contemplation.
So Panthoris means the one who sees everything.
But here is what moved me: for the Greeks, the one who saw was never the one who ruled. The theōros brought back clarity, and the people decided. Seeing served judgment <••> it never replaced it.
That's the question at the heart of my book. Technology didn't just change our tools <••> it changed our habits: how we look, how we decide, and who we let decide for us. Most software today wants to see everything so it can choose for you.
I wanted to build the opposite: something that sees the whole picture so you can make better, sovereign choices. Something that gives the steering wheel back to the human, not one that quietly takes it away.
That's what the name holds. Not a machine that sees instead of you, but one that helps you see.
