I run a traditional brick-and-mortar business. Everyone says I need to adopt AI or die. How do I actually survive this transition?
Author Answer:
You look at your shop floor.
Real inventory.
Real customers walking through the door.
Then you open your laptop and see endless news about AI algorithms, automation, and tech giants.
You ask:
"Is a physical business obsolete, or am I missing the point?"
Technology always changes the tools, but it rarely changes what humans value.
People don't just buy products.
They buy trust.
They buy convenience.
They buy real human interaction.
You don't need to rebuild your business around an algorithm.
You just need to use tech to remove the boring work so you can focus on the customer in front of you.
AI can optimize a supply chain.
It cannot look a customer in the eye and make them feel valued.
Built, not born.
