I’m a corporate manager. My company buys ten different software tools for ten different teams. Why does our work still feel so fragmented?

Author Answer:

Every department has its own subscription. Sales uses one platform. Operations uses another. Finance has its own dashboard. Customer support lives in a separate inbox. You sit in meetings and realize: "We have more software than ever, but nobody knows what anyone else is doing." This is the hidden tax of modern business. Adding more tools doesn't make an organization smarter. It multiplies the silos. One team inputs data, but the next team has to ask for it. Context gets lost in the handoff. Every application becomes an isolated island. Real efficiency doesn't come from buying more apps. It comes from building a single, shared memory across your whole team. Don't ask how many software subscriptions you can add. Ask how much organizational friction you can eliminate.
