I honestly don't think so. Imagine inviting AI into a typical Monday morning meeting. Within the first five minutes, someone says, "Let's circle back," another asks for a "quick update" that lasts twenty minutes, and somehow the meeting ends without anyone making a decision. AI would probably interrupt and say, "You could have covered all of this in three emails." And, for once, it would be absolutely right. But here's where it gets interesting. Meetings aren't always about information. They're about people. Sometimes a meeting isn't really about the agenda—it's about building trust, reading the room, or giving someone the confidence to share an idea they almost kept to themselves. AI can organize a meeting. It can summarize a meeting. It might even run a meeting. But I don't think it can replace the moment when one conversation changes someone's perspective—or inspires a team to build something extraordinary. Maybe that's why I still believe the future of work isn't AI or humans. It's AI handling repetitive work, so humans can focus on the conversations that actually matter.
